Term: | to stop the "Service Level" clock (ticket system)
by maricom, 2010-02-08, 21:37 Spam? 93.92.200.... Liebe Kollegen! Bitte seid so nett!!! Kontext: PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE The problem which you reported #$$Case ID+$$#, #$$Summary$$# has been placed into a Pending status. The Reason is #$$Pending$$#. This pending status will stop the "Sevice Level" clock as progress cannot be made while the issue is in this state.
Answer: | trouble ticket | #494258 |
by Lisa4dict, 2010-02-08, 21:52 Spam? 99.11.160.... When the problem was reported a "trouble ticket" was created. The service orgainization then started a “service-level clock” to track the amount of time that the technicians take to resolve the issues. The shorter the time to resolve incoming tickets, the better the level of service is considered to be. (Comment: Management folly because it leads to "quick fixes" without proper research into underlying caused and long term solutions.) In your cases the problem was considered to be unsolvable at the current state and the service organization "stopped the clock" i.e. this trouble ticket will currently not be considered in the overall "service level" evaluation and any time between now and when a solution becomes possible will not be counted for this ticket.
