von Wesna, 2006-04-18, 21:43  like dislike  Spam?  84.161.111...
Nowadays, it is common marketing knowledge that acquiring new customers is much more expensive than keeping the existing customer base. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance for businesses to learn what drives customer loyalty. This requires gaining insight into the different phases that customers’ relationships pass through before HERVORBRINGEN regular customers.

bring out? generate ? ... oder anders? Please help :-)

"they" is referring to the words "new customers". even though it's not in the same sentence, it is understood that way. so "they become" should work.

maybe you'd like to use "...before casual customers become regular customers" instead.

it's the customer relationships that 'bring about' (or whatever) regular customers - after having passed through different phases (into which an insight has to be gained)

haha, really, what are you arguing for? i'm just trying to give a translation.

first of all, the customers relationships don't bring about regular customers. it is whatever methods the businesses use that alter the customers' relationships which generate casual customers to regular customers.

second of all, i never said customers' relationships can become regular customers.

third of all, if my translation doesn't sound right, why don't you make your own suggestion?
before they set up / establish regular customers  #117673
