Hallo, brauche hilfe für mein Englischvortrag und habe glücklicherweise diese Seite gefunden^^ hier ist mein Text. How black people got to America 150 years ago, white emigrant populized nearly the whole USA. In the south there basically farmer populized the USA, who basicly owned big parts of land area. To earn money they for example cultivated cotton. Because producing them was hard work, they needed workers. To solve the problem salesmen traveled to Africa with big ships, loaded full of products for example coffee, the traders took them to America. Most of them died on the journey, if they got save to America, they got sold to the farmer. There were also people who were against the slavery, like Abraham Lincoln the 16. govenor of the USA. The civil war starts in 1861 and went till 1865, the slaves got free. One example for important black people in American history: Rosa Parks *4. Februar 1913 in Tuskgee, Alabama; † 24. Oktober 2005 in Detroit She was an American civil-rights activist. She has changed the whole Afro-American history, because the segregation implied, that Blacks has to offer their place in a bus to a white person and then go and sit in the back of the bus. She refused to give up her seat on a bus for a white passenger on December 1st in 1955. On February 22 in 1956 two months after that happening she got arrestet, this caused the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Because only black people had to pay money for the bus, the bus tour operators did not got their transportation expenses because the black people decidet to boycott the bus tour operators. This strike took 381 days Situation of black People in the USA now. They get worse payment for same job as a white person. Higer unemployment than white people so every 3rd Afro-American live in peverty or is called as poor. -sources www.bbc.co.uk wikipedia.de youtube.com Ich bedanke mich schonmal im vorraus. MfG |

150 years ago, white immigrants colonized nearly the entire United States. [man sagt im Englischen entweder "United States", oder, wenn man nur eine Abkürzung schreiben will, "US". Aber so gut wie nie "USA" oder "United States of America"] |
Antwort: | "In the south there basically farmer populized the USA,..." | #401431 |
The South [oder: 'Southern United States were'] was mainly settled by farmers. Many of them owned large areas of land (there). |

In Amerika redet man heutzutage von "African Americans", "blacks" könnte abwertend gemeint sein, vor allem, wenn Weiße das sagen. Also könntest du besser schreiben : "How African Americans came to America" |
Antwort: | "Because producing them was hard work, they needed workers." | #401436 |
Since cultivation and harvest was hard work, they needed workers. |
Antwort: | "To solve the problem salesmen traveled to Africa with big ships,..." | #401437 |
In order to solve the problem, traders shipped numerous Africans to America. |
Antwort: | "Most of them died on the journey, if they got save to America, ..." | #401438 |
Most of them died on the journey, and if they reached America, they were sold to local farmers and became enslaved. |
Antwort: | "There were also people who were against the slavery,... " | #401440 |
There were also people who were against slavery, like Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States. [Anmerkung: Lincoln war Präsident, nicht Gouverneur, der Vereinigten Staaten.] |

[ Da ich mich mit dem Thema auskenne, habe den Satz mal etwas verändert ] The Civil War broke out in 1861, when President Lincoln abolished slavery. After its end in 1865, all former slaves became free men. |

In addition to this, the unemployment rate among African Americans is higher than among whites. Every third African American lives in poverty or is classified as poor. |

So the Civil War blew up pretty quickly! Most primary slavery from Africa was finished by then. Slaves were carried on the second leg of the infamous "triangular passage": Bristol/Liverpool to West Africa with manufactured metal and fabric trade goods, where they sold these and bought slaves from coastal African chiefs who had captured them on armed forays far inland; then to the West Indies with suffering slaves, sold these to slave merchants and bought tobacco, cotton, bananas, spices, rum, sugar etc. then back to England to sell these. Rather than these slave ships landing in US ports, American slave owners tended to buy slaves in markets in the West Indies, where in latter days they were "bred" rather than imported.. Slaves were never shipped via England as the moment a ship docked they were free- slavery was only legal in the colonies. The British Army had black regiments (white officers) used in the colonies. Americans were deeply shocked to see negroes with rifles! |
