Me don't care how you took it. Germans talking / corresponding with Germans in English is embararrassing at best and totally batty at worst. Does you need to, like, prove you is good at English? What for? Standard English is wack anyway.... "folks".

but hey. you've seen "sicko". america is a deeply troubled nation. you as a would-be west.indian (allow me a wee giggle) or possibly a german rastafarian will be familiar with the kaufman book (left book club edition, 1944 or 45)  on toulouse l'ouverture -- so it goes back a long way.i mean that whole AMERICAN problem -- back to the days of the french revolution. if not, if you haven't read the book, try picking it up somewhere, it's the most FASCINATING read. also it's written in good english, there's nothing wrong with that. i took it this was a translator's discussion forum, and hence "germans" were as free to enter as people of any other nationality, and use german or english to sort out problems at hand. i get tired of some of the high-handed stuff here, but you know, the low-register sniping isn't really much help either. don't you have any people in real life you can impress with your wit? honestly, just read a book a week, and i don't mean just the collected poetry of linton kwesi johnson. try something totally new.
