Frage:
Frauen zeigten ein völlig unbegreifliches Verhalten

Another sentence from the CZ>EN correspondence (the Czech girl is falling in love with him and getting jealous...). Is this translation good English:
"No matter whether we visited a castle, a palace, a pub, a bar or a beer garden, everywhere the waitresses, women, girls or young ladies would behave unbelievably strangely towards us " ?

My suggestion:  "... the ladies would behave (or just behaved) very / quite strangely towards us."  #463331

So, my translation seems more or less alright. Next question: The women gave him the nickname "Count Dracula - the ...." the extension means something like "someone who pins you" (with or onto his teeth). In German, I would translate it possibly as "Aufreißer", but the more literal meaning is something like "Spießzahn". Any idea which English word might fit here?

That's a tough one.  Could you be as free as "the fanged Casanova"?  #463335

Well, the classic name for Dracula was 'The Impaler.'  #463336

But that referred to his habit of impaling people he didn't care for all that much on wooden poles. But something can certainly be impaled on pointed teeth as well.

I also knew guys who referred to themselves as "impalers" - they were not talking about their teeth, though.  #463341

And in most cases, they promised way more than they could keep afterwards.

I know these guys. They say things like "I don't have much, but I'm proud of every foot of it."  #463346

Is women not a bit redundant in the enumeration? I wonder what the gnats thought of his blood in the beer gardens?  #463347

Your own behaviour may seem very strange indeed when it is mirrored in others who then seem to deport themselves oh so naughtily.

I'll go for the "Impaler". It is very likely that the writer of this letter is referring to the classic name.
