What is "a suck"?
von romy (CZ/GB), 2010-04-30, 05:54  like dislike  Spam?
I am asking just out of curiosity. I have a very smoochy tomcat who welcomes all visitors straight away with a very friendly approach, rubs on their legs and jumps on their laps. Now, already the fourth visitor told me, "He is a suck!"
I might have spelled it wrong, I don't know, but what does it mean? Is it good or bad?

Probably a short form of Sucker, Romy?

But cats know what they want and aren't afraid to ask for it.
They'll try to improve whatever they have, even if it's good.  I've had loads of cats (including wild cats) they were all pretty good at "sucking up" to their people.  Only with strangers some tend to be stand-offish.
Even dumpster cats will try to improve the menu once a regular food supply has been established.

Will catch mice, eat them or leave them as a "gift" to the pack on your door mat and then come in and have some cat-food or tuna to reward themselves for the job well done.
(Unless they are afraid of mice.  We've had two so far that were.  One tom just feaked out when his mom brought home a mouse.  The other couldn't tell the difference between the pet hamster she wasn't permitted to touch and the mice which we would have preferred she'd go after.
Thanks to all - I think this time farhamsafar got it right with "the sook"  #515368
