"quite a lot / rather often" are not necessary in English. " The simple "a lot" covers both those terms.

no, they're not, but the "ziemlich" is also optional in German

A:  They are not the same.
B:  They are not quite the same.

Are A&B the same? They are rather alike, but many, I venture to say, would claim they are really quite different.

Do you think this thread has been draxified? It smacks of feigned xenoglossy.

I got all me English from youtube, not from xenoglossy. That's why I is so much better at translating than you old geeky lot. Your English is obsolete. Youtube FTW! ;)

is obsolete, too. It should be, "Ich sehe MIR deine Videos ziemlich oft an."
"Ansehen" is a reflexive verb (SICH etwas ansehen). You can find the lesson you need to learn here: http://www.deutschseite.de/grammatik/reflexive_verben/reflexive_ver...

But your phrases have absolutely nothing to do with phrase I mentioned. I never said that "a lot" works in all situations. I was only talking about the specific phrase in the question. People say, "I watch X a lot" or even "I watch X all the time" to mean they "watch it quite often" or "rather frequently."
