Ja schon, aber da musst Du immer die richtige Wortkombination eingeben, um es zu bekommen.
Aber vielleicht gibts ja keine passende Übersetzung für das Substantiv.

whereby the second translation offered, to be bent on doing sth., is not correct IMHO - it's far too strong

Auf etw. Bock haben simply means to fancy doing something (Hast Du Bock auf ein Bier?), or negatively (which is far more widespread ;-) ) "Ich hab kein(en) Bock auf etw.", I can't be bothered/fussed to do sth.

Source: my teenage kids..

PS Bock as a noun on its own is not used in this sense AFAIK

This may be mostly AE usage.  The register is about the same as for "Bock"
Amazingly enough this meaning doesn't seem to have made it into the dictionaries.  <?>

ufriend is right - it's generally phrased differently, so that there isn't a direct translation - Do you fancy a pint? or I can't be bothered.

Bock as a noun on it's own might not be used.
But there are quite a number of possibilities to use it.
Kein Bock!
Null Bock! (nicht drin)
Bock haben.
Ich hätte Bock ...
Ich hatte Bock ...
mangels Bock (s.o.)
Apropos Bock, ...
etc.
That's why I think you have to offer a basic translation, if possible.

4;Proteus:  My main interest is the German word.  You can tell something of my sympathies by what I read, but I do not mean to impose or offend.  It is just that it is so hard to give a useful translation with imited context.  

Maybe the German "kein Bock haben" could be translated as "lacking the getup and go?"
