Frage:
Literature & Film titles don't get gender tags, right?
von geo255 (US), 2016-12-28, 14:51  like dislike  Spam?
I thought, for these sorts of entries, the class = [none] and no gender tags are used.  A bunch of reopens like, e.g. http://contribute.dict.cc/?action=edit&id=1203677
have the class incorrectly set to 'noun'

The GL isn't clear on the issue of titles other than the implication that, if the class = [none] there are no gender tags.

I gather that this is not the name of a film, but of a place within the film. As such, it might need to show the gender in use, and could be classed as a noun, subject geography, albeit imaginary. However, I think that this could be better explained in the entry. (I have never felt any urge to see these films or read the books. Not my thing, but one can't help seeing a bit on TV.)

If that is the case, Catesse, then the author's name shouldn't be used as it appears to refer to his work.  If one were not familiar with all of Tolkien's work, but saw an entry with his name in brackets, confusion about whether this was the title of one of his works could result.

There should be a description in brackets, what Hulsten is, like [a place in Tolkiens world] or sth. similar. When I saw the entry I thought it was one of Tolkien's books.
