Frage:
Hello, is this correct?

It was a November day. Many years ago I was from a difficult hiking back to my accommodation. Suddenly it started to rain nothing but rain so I decided to take an abbreviation. Meanwhile, it was 6 o'clock and the darkness started. The abbreviation was a hilly and rocky trail and my feet hurt me. After a while I noticed it was the wrong direction so I went return. Meanwhile, it was pitch dark and I know I had two hours to walk. I was happy when I reached my accommodation and could take a hot shower.

Suddenly it started to rain nothing but rain <strange choice of words - delete?> so I decided to take an abbreviation<wrong word>. Meanwhile, it was <meanwhile->now, but change the word order> 6 o'clock and the darkness started <wrong words>. The abbreviation <wrong word> was a hilly and rocky trail and my feet hurt me. After a while I noticed it was the wrong direction so I went return <wrong word>. Meanwhile, it was pitch dark and I know <wrong tense> I <still? > had two hours <left? further?> to walk. I was happy when I reached my accommodation <awkward choice of words> and could take a hot shower.

It was a November day many years ago. I was on a difficult hike and returning to my accommodation. Suddenly it started to pour with rain so I decided to take a short cut. It was 6 o'clock and night was falling. The short cut was a hilly and rocky trail and my feet hurt. After a while I noticed it was the wrong direction so I turned back. It was now pitch dark and I knew I had two hours to walk. I was glad when I reached my accommodation and could take a hot shower.
