Frage:
Are both meanings of the word apparent correct ?
von deaerjag (UN), 2018-04-27, 19:23  like dislike  Spam?
dict.cc: apparent

The translation of apparent into german provides among others two contradicting translations

"offenbar"    =  "everybody can see it's really true" ..... and.....
"scheinbar"  =  "many people will me misguided to believe it's true"

Are both meanings of the word apparent correct ?

From https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/apparent (that Proteus also linked)

1 Clearly visible or understood; obvious.
‘for no apparent reason she laughed’
with clause ‘it became apparent that he was talented’

2 Seeming real or true, but not necessarily so.
‘his apparent lack of concern’

Number 2 is close to scheinbar, but not exactly the same. Then again, a lot of translations are not exact equivalents.
