Frage:
turnusabhängig
von Windfall (GB), Last modified: 2020-05-26, 18:44  like dislike  Spam?
This is not my sentence, I found it on the Internet; however, I hope the meaning is near enough for me to get a useful answer about the word turnusabhängig:
jedoch ist eine Dauer von 6 Monaten üblich, welche jedoch unter Umständen verlängert werden kann, je nach turnusabhängiger Nebenkostenabrechnung.
however, a term of 6 months is customary, which can, however, potentially be extended, depending on the schedule-dependent service-charge statement.
NB I don't care about any of the other words I have not taken any particular care translating them

I'd say:  depending on the accrual basis / period of service-charge(s) accounting  #919290

"- abrechnung" doesn't mean here bill / invoice, but (the act of) accounting

work cycle utilities statement  #919292

"Nebenkostenabrechnung" may be translated as "utilities statement" for some (industrial) premises:
dict.cc: Nebenkostenabrechnung
"Turnus" may stand for something like "work shift" or (broader) "work cycle" (dict.cc: turnus, dict.cc: work cycle) on those premises. So "turnusabhängige Nebenkostenabrechnung" might be individual work cycle utilities statement or simply work cycle utilities statement. ("Work shift" seems less likely as there is mention of "eine Dauer von 6 Monaten", although "work shift" / "work shifts" may be part of those "6 Monaten". More context would be helpful.)

Thanks, both of you.  Bother, that doesn't sound like it would fit in my context. Would I get a different translation for this context:
Die turnusabhängige Untersuchung der Leukose.

4;RedRufus, to my knowledge those two sentences are completely unconnected. Does turnusabhängig always relate to service charges? I picked the second one to try and avoid a service charge related meaning

"Turnus" refers to a period of time  #919296
von RedRufus (DE), 2020-05-26, 21:43  like dislike  Spam?
e.g. to a work shift, an accounting period, the time between due dates, etc.
Leukose seems to be a cat's disease and I suppose "Die turnusabhängige Untersuchung der Leukose" refers to a regular screening of a certain cat, or cats in a kennel or in a district,
If the screening is done every month or every quarter the accounting period would be a month or a quarter

periodicity-dependent leukosis tests  #919297
von Serge (RU/UA), 2020-05-26, 22:11  like dislike  Spam?
In order to translate the phrase "turnusabhängige Untersuchung der Leukose", we need to know what the word "Turnus" refers to. Out of context, we can assume, for example, that this is work shift / work cycle / work period dependent leukosis tests. Or – less bindingly – simply periodicity-dependent leukosis tests.

But "periodicity" of what?

Thanks, RedRufus and Serge. That sounds like a word that is probably not usually expressed in a way that's a direct translation in English. Your comments have given me plenty to chew over

Thanks, sfl. I think "cycle-dependent" is probably safest when it's not clear what type of cycle we're talking about (and it's not clear to me in my context)
