Hi, ich habe diese zwei Sätze versucht zu üersetzen... But Downing Street has rejected claims that police have crossed the line. The prime minister's official spokesman said it was right for police to explain why they needed the power. Meine Übersetzung: Wäre super nett wenn ihr nochmal drüber schauen könntet. Bin für jeden Tipp dankbar! Aber die englische Regierung hat Anschuldigungen zurückgewiesen, dass die Polizei die Grenze überschritten hat. Der Sprecher des Premierministers sagte, dass die Polizei das Recht habe, zu erklären warum sie mehr Machtbefugnis brauche. | ||

Downing St....bitte nicht Englische! es umfasst auch Schottland und NOrdirland und Wales! Kannst du nicht einfach Downing St so belassen? wenn wir von der Regierung sprechen, sagen wir auch Regierung... und auch right and rights sind anders... er sagte, es sei richtig, dass die Polizei erklaeren sollte, warum sie die (.....) | ||

4;Proteus. Ich würde das Wort 'dass' durch das elegantere 'wonach' ersetzen. Dazu würde ich die verbale Form 'richtig gehandelt' vorziehen, denn erstens ist 'recht getan' eine Umschreibung, die eher in Sprichwörtern ('allen Leuten recht getan...') und der Märchensprache Verwendung findet. Zudem kann man nicht 'richtig handeln mit der Begründung'; es müsste vielmehr heissen ('... to explain...') '... richtig gehandelt zu erklären, warum...' - die verbalisierten Formen sind in der Regel immer besser als der grassierende schwerfällige Substantivismus ;-) | ||
