Term:	sich zu etw. sagen lassen

Moreover, much which can be described as long Covid in the world economy, is necessarily speculative. Have I understood this correctly? Why does German use 'zu' not 'als' ? I think this comes from Süddeutchse Zeitung, but I can't find any combination of 'sich sagen lassen' with the preposition 'zu' in Dict or Google. Thanks in advance for any help.

	"in der Weltwirtschaft" soll wohl heißen: "in einer globalisierten Wirtschaft". Auch ohne diesen Zusatz ist der Satz nicht besonders logisch, denn man weiß noch nicht sehr viel über Long Covid, und kein vernünftiger Wissenschaftler sagt mehr als das, was er definitiv weiß. Einzige Ausgabe: der als solcher ausgewiesene "educated guess". Hingegen lässt sich von Laien viel über Long Covid spekulieren ("etwas lässt sich zu einem Thema sagen"). Sagen lässt sich so manches, ob es denn auch stimmt, ist eine andere Sache.

	AliHeret hat es in seiner Antwort bereits eingebaut: Man man weiß noch nicht viel über Long Covid. Das Original könnte paraphrasiert auch lauten: ... was sich heute über* Long Covid* ... zu ist einfach direkter, "Long Covid" wird als Thema angesprochen (siehe AliHerets "etwas lässt sich zu einem Thema sagen"). Ich sage etwas zu einem Thema ist etwas besser, als etwas über ein Thema zu sagen. Ich will mich zum Thema äußern, mich am Diskurs beteiligen. "Über etwas" lässt sich immer vieles sagen, auch völlig unwichtiges Zeug. Paraphrase II: Außerdem ist vieles, was sich heute zu dem Thema "Long Covid in der Weltwirtschaft" sagen lässt, notwendigerweise spekulativ.

	das reflexive sich funktioniert hier ähnlich wie bei: etw. lässt sich schwer sagen dict.cc: sich sagen lassen
